if you ever hung out in the streets and been involved in some decent amount of fights you will now bad ass motherfuckers come in all shape and sizes and from all walks of life.
To beat Andre Ward, you need to be a better boxer than him. There is no one at super middleweight or light heavyweight that has that capability. I remember when everyone was enamored by the power of Lucas Matthyssee and everyone said he was the man that was going to beat Danny Garcia but Guess what, He didn't and I knew Garcia would whoop him. Now people have moved on from Lucas Matthyssee to Sergei Kovalev. Now Gennady Golovkin is a legit threat to Andre Ward but would probably lose. Andre Ward, Floyd Mayweather, and Guillermo Rigondeaux are fighters that are in Classes of their own. No one has anything on them.

Problem is, malthus lost narrowly when he stepped up. Before his eye injury he was up too... So he was doing OK until he couldn't see

This post reeks of fanboy drawers. Nobody is invincible - the pedestrian Maidana made Floyd fans sweat for 12 rounds, same with Marroquin on Rigondeaux - made Rigo do the booty dew several times. Just a matter of time before Ward gets Boone'd again, but it's not happening soon as he barely fights these days.

It's always like that with the Eastern European fighters most of us are 80's - early 90's babies...Drago left a lasting impression on a lot of people.

Ward has beat Froch, Abraham, Kessler, Chad Dawson, and Edwin Rodriguez. Hopkins has beaten Felix Trinidad, Oscar De La Hoya, Kelly Pavlik, Made Antonio Tarver irrelevant, got Robbed vs Calzaghe, beat Glen Johnson back in 1997, and Beat Jean Pascal. You can't tell me Kovalev is better than the Executioner/alien, or Andre Ward.
Well said. I agree with every word. I wanna see Kovalev knocking guys out when he gets drug tested

Funny thing is I saw a photo a while back, with Gennady, Sergei and Golovkin's wife just strolling down a street somewhere in the US, jeans and shirts, casual - just looking like tourists. I'm guessing it musta been sometime in 2011 when GGG and Kovalev were both at Big Bear and apparently quite close friends.

I couldn't help thinking about what'd happen if a purse snatcher had thought to try his luck with GGGs missus' bag, or some local guys had tried to get pushy with the 'tourists'. That's some heavy messing, right there - woulda been funny as hell.

Coincidently Kovalev was recently involved in a power punching contest at a boxing club in Moscow.

                      http://kovalboxer.com/ru/news/mine/4...-07-32-54.html

Apparently he punched 510Kg (why they measured in Kg rather than Newtons is anyones guess). Competition winner Anton Uberga punched over 600Kg.
