actually they tally it up in a few days, only direct tv and satelite etc take a few more days to tally up. A week is more the sufficient to tally the numbers.

And the damage control has begun. 'No numbers yet'? Espinoza acting like this is the stone age and people are counting buys by putting beans in a jar. It's all digital. They generally know what range the #s will fall by the Thursday following fight night.

And the only way Showtime doesn't suffer significant losses on a 850K buy PPV that they poured about $46 million into (fighter purses + promotions) is if another entity is bearing the financial capital/risk.

These are not even bad PPV numbers. The only negative is Mayweather's guarantee, and honestly I have very little sympathy for Showtime and their business practice. Good for Floyd for cashing in.

Well I guess it's not a problem, since this sort of millions of profit losses will be very easily recoup and probably earn more than the losses they had as long as floyd finally faces pacquiao. This is the last resort i reckon. And they must do it now, as floyd is still on top of his game and still the very top draw of the sport, surely, he has the power to get pacquiao to almost do whatever he wants including maybe a fight which would give showtime exclusive coverage. All the other party needs is the 'publicly legal documented guarantee' that floyd will fight him. And they should do it fast and decide as soon as possible, or, they risk pacquiao once again pulling ahead or at par on the top of superstardom, as was the case of what's happening right now as mayweather invincibility has been shattered already. If pacquiao can once again pull ahead then showtime will lose the all important power leverage. It's game over, the mayweather deal that is supposed to make showtime the new hbo of boxing is totally a waste of money and their time. Remember these two superstars are on the last straw of their fighting prowess, both are on a decline and fighting father time, so, it's now or never.
