It's gonna suck for Canelo if he does less vs. Lara than he did vs. Angulo. I'll be at the bar for it again, but Canelo deserves respect for taking on tough fight after tough fight. No one thought he'd fight Trout or Lara. Not only did he fight them, but he took on Mayweather in between. Respect to that man.
Mayweather-Maidana does 854,000 PPV buys?

If this is true, Floyd has one less excuse to duck Pac. I should be more optimistic now, but dang there is a lot more excuses to cover with this guy.
Or maybe coz of poor numbers he will be forced to fight competitive fights now. I HOPE SO!
(The irony is his last fight, was a competitive fight with a 12/1 underdog)Last edited by Spoon23; 05-11-2014, 02:44 PM.Comment

It is about what I expected. Maidana was a heavy underdog going into that fight, so the appeal would have been low. If I lived in America, I would not have spent $70 on that fight.
That being said, the appeal for his next fights should increase because he looked vulnerable.
Infact showtime was expecting at least 1.5 million just to break even. Imagine that.
Poor showing across the board.
They lost money big time, only winner is the fraudster.Last edited by Spoon23; 05-11-2014, 02:42 PM.Comment

Rick Glaser is the same guy that said: "Mayweather's next fight will be against Paul Spadafora."

You guys do know Rick Glaser is some 50 year old troll who lives with his mother and years ago worked with the Feds for that Top Rank raid. Take his info with a grain of salt. I can't even believe anyone would even quote anything he says. A few weeks ago he was passing out phone numbers of promoters like Lou DiBella on Twitter and nearly got arrested for extortion because he demanded money from them in order to stop.Comment

They need 1m to break even.
