Comments Thread For: Wilder: Stiverne Will Be Easy, Needs To Beat Me First!

LOS ANGELES --- There's no mystery to who newly-crowned WBC heavyweight champion Bermane Stiverne will be fighting in his first title defense. Deontay Wilder has already been deemed his mandatory challenger.

Wilder was ringside to witness Stiverne's brutal sixth-round knockout of Chris Arreola to claim the vacant WBC heavyweight championship on Saturday night at USC's Galen Center.

i actually agree with wilder stivern was getting into trouble cause the jab and wilders jab is actually dam good and he has all that length and power i really do think wilder wins by ko within like 7. Well see Wilder is the perfect type heavy weight to get the division back on track in usa so maybe its wishful thinking but i think wilder is not all hype i think he is legit. His chin needs to be tested tho

Wilder has a terrible chin. He's been dropped a few times.

Wilder's tea, has done him a disservice, he has fought no one at all. He has not been tagged by a top tier heavyweight, what is his defense like? Can he make adjustments? can he clinch if hurt? can he go past 4rds... to say this is what the Heavyweights need is sad. What people and Wilder fail to realize is the man has not seen enuff different looks, Stivern sets you up, Wilder will be perfect because he is so used to having his opponents hurt, as soon as he thinks stivern is hurt he will jump on him and get caught - this come from experience - look out for the setup, Stivern will KO him

6 names come to mind when I think of deontay wilder... dimitrenko, david price, seth Mitchell, tye fields, boytsov & david rodriguez...I still laugh at him wearing two of the same gloves fighting zelenoff. wilder has become a side show. it's time to put up or shut up. stiverne is a pretty big jump up in competition. let's see if he can prove his doubters wrong...

Here's what I see who has Wilder fought that he thinks he will beat Stiverne ? Like Arreola said the guy has a hard head. Arreola has good power and his punches never seemed to phase Stiverne. I also think Stiverne will work his way in and start hammering Wilder's body If Charlie Z landed some body punches I would think Stiverne will land his but with more punishing effect

I hope the corrupt WBC allows Wlad to fight for the title before Wilder so that Stiverne can get a good well deserved payday. Then Wilder can fight the winner. Stiverne has the potential to beat Wlad and Wilder, if he presses the action non stop with a continual Tysonesque kind of pressure.

One thing's for sure, someone's getting knocked out. I'd bet it's Wilder.

I agree with Deontay, and Charlie Z was the ideal warm up.
