You people really think Manny's going to lay on the ropes for entire rounds and let a flat-footed, slow Maidana throw wide looping overhead shots that look like he's practicing his swimming stroke?

Styles make fights and Maidana is Brandon Rios lite for Manny, only with a worse chin/body. Chino would be getting turned constantly and hit with 4-6 punch combos constantly until his face looked like it was put through a meat grinder.

It would be a s*** fight, but now I kind of want to see it go down just to laugh at everyone here claiming it would be competitive and then immediately after the fight claim Manny just dominated him because he was TBE's 'leftovers' and how Floyd ruined him, he was another slow, flat footed, come forward fighter, yadda yadda yadda.

    Stop it.

Pacquiao throws straight punches with volume and power, bad news for Maidana who likes to throw wild hooks and overhands. Maidana's only chance is to use his great strength to corner Pac by the ropes, but that won't work because Pacquiao has far superior footspeed to Floyd and can move much faster.

Floyd didn't have the power to keep chino off of him, Pac does, current Pac may not knock out chino, but he sure as hell has the power to stun, cut, frustrate, and swell chino. Pac has better speed, stamina, and skill which imo would triumph over Maidana's superior brute strength.

And I'm a huge Maidana fan. This would be an amazing fight.

Pac never had difficulty with a C or B fighter.

This current version of Pacquiao would struggle with Maidana, possibly even get dropped by an overhand right. I actually think Bradley would have a much easier time with Maidana than Manny Pacquiao. To beat Maidana you need a guy who can outmuscle him and work him on the inside, changing levels from head to body. Bradley would bully Maidana in ways that the current versions of Floyd and Pacquiao just can't. Styles make fights.

If he uses the sparring gloves then it's a whole different story.
What gym do you go to that uses 8oz sparring gloves? Must be a gym for women.

He may give the current version a few problems. His jab shocked me. I also just found a vid post fight where Floyd also said he was "shocked" with Maidana's jab. Still think Pac takes him out though. Pac throws combo's and that would be the difference. The version that fought Cotto would poleaxe Chino.

                      Styles make fights.
