Stiverne's counters will trouble Wilder. I hope for Wilder via KO, but honestly I expect Stiverne by KO ala Johnathan Banks-Seth Mitchell I.

It was quick, but the dude took like 20 unanswered right hands all across the ring, and just like a fake slick fighter, he tried to posture and play it off in the middle of getting a pounding.

Same as broner and his shoulder shrugging crap in the middle of getting his ass beat by Maidana.

EDIT: Actually just counted, he took 19 unanswered right hands.

Steve Kim ***8207;@stevemaxboxing 17m Don King made it clear that Bermane Stiverne has an optional defense of the WBC title upcoming #BOXING
It looks like Tim Witherspoon is about to get a phone call.

I read an article that went like this: "An innocuous-looking shot early from Sconiers had Wilder sprawled in ungainly fashion upon the canvas, eyes rolling in his head. He rose and rode out the crisis, despatching Sconiers in four, but it was the sort of shocking reaction to a not exactly explosive punch that mimicked Price's legs-stuttering collapse versus Thompson".

I hope Wilder wins but Stiverne is fast for a heavyweight. The Sconiers fight is no indication to how Wilder will do against Stiverne, shit like that happens in boxing, but Stiverne is very smart in there.

Here is a B-Scene article quoting Sulaiman that the mandatories are next.
During a recent press conference to promote the May 10 vacant heavyweight title fight between Bermane Stiverne and Chris Arreola, it was suggested by Don King – who promotes Stiverne – that the winner will be free and clear to take on whomever he pleases. The Hall of Fame promoter insisted that the winner will be ready to take on all comers, simply out of desire and not by necessity.

It would be funny if Don King made Stiverne inactive after this. Sad actually.

Stiverne was 100% alert when the ref prematurely stopped the Demetrice King fight so as far as I'm concerned, Stiverne has never been KO'd. That was not a KO loss. He shouldn't have been playing and posturing but he was not hurt when the ref stepped in.
