I think it is important 4 Casual Boxing fans to watch Wilder vs Stiverne on Saturday.

I think if Boxing is to really expand their fanbase amongst the casual fans, they need to watch Deontay Wilder vs Bermane Stiverne. Deontay Wilder brings back what casual fans and real boxing fans in the United States have hoped for. An American Heavyweight champion. I hope casuals haven't forgotten that while being wound up and focussed on 1 welterweight fight that everyone has been waiting to see happen. Boxing needs more after Mayweather vs Pacquiao. It is important that Wilder ushers in a new era of American Heavyweight Dominance. To keep boxing going. So the sport will still have a lot of fans.

If Wilder wins, he has a shot at becoming a bit of a star but I'm not sure if he can ever beat Wlad, so he'll never be THE guy so I don't see how it changes anything.

Agreed. Casuals love kos and big muther ****ers and Wilder is both.

But I'm leaning towards Stiverne right now.

I'll be watching tonight. And Im inviting a few potnas over to watch it as well(they not even casuals). Trying to bring more folks over to boxing by inviting them over.

The problem with this fight is that Seattle vs. Carolina will be on around that time, so the fights not gonna get as many viewers at it could and should. But I'll be doing my part as a fan of or great sport.

Beating Stiverne won't establish an "American Heavyweight Dominance". There are at least four non-American fighter that are better than Stiverne.
