The odds of a Maidana rematch happening are slim to none, having two tough fights back to back would be foolish, especially without "Glove Gate". Mayweather's going to want an opponent with a completely opposite style. What better candidate than Danny "Swift" Garcia? Young undefeated prospect who looked bad in his last fight.

Why would he not rematch Maidana? He rematched Castillo right away. Plus Garcia is already fighting this summer.

As said he rematch Castillo who arguably won, Maidana was only tough in that he knew how to neutralize Mayweather offensively at times and keep Mayweather more occupied defensively with his dirtiness, in terms of scoring Maidana didn't do much or anything that would stop Mayweather from opting for a rematch. It's gonna be the same fight, with Mayweather being sharper offensively.

Also, some of the new crop at '47 are killers, guys looking to take your head off, some very physical, Maidana is the kind of opponent Mayweather needs right now. I like Garcia, I see people have underrated him due to his last performance but Garcia would have to take the role of aggressor and he isn't fast enough on his feet to bother Mayweather.
