Mid- lvel MWs? They're the #2 and #4 or 5 160lbers in the world....

Oh I get it - the decent comp you mean is Ward innit? So you think the only 'serious comp' for Golovkin is the #2 P4P fighter who's bigger than him? That's quite the compliment if you think about it.

It is a compliment. If GGG wasn't as good as he is then he'd be getting as many Ward invites as Quillin.

Tired of people saying that. Ward's a sneak in this situation, he never opened his mouth about Golovkin until he was certain the fight wasn't going to be made. Before that, he was all 'down the line', 'in a year's time' and the best part is, he still doesn't want the fight while pretending he does.

If this fight can be made on short notice sure why not. I still think GGG wins by TKO make it happen HBO.

Golovkin isn't a pure slugger and Geale isn't a pure swarmer but essentially what you have is a hard punching slugger versus light hitting swarmer matchup here i agree. All of Geale's offense is derived from being inside the pocket throwing combinations with high activity which is a recipe for disaster against someone like GGG.

Geale would have to get past macklin to make this more official right?
I mean if macklin beat him why would he get the shot?

Fight is off because Perez injured himself and since the main event isn't happening they cancelled the card.

Geale will probably put up a better effort than most of GGG's opponents but I think he slowly gets broken down and possibly gets TKOd late in the fight. If Geale does survive the fight he'll probably be bruised and exhausted and we'll all talk about how much of a warrior he is for taking GGG's punishment the entire fight.
