the fight generated 25 million according to this site.

    http://www.boxingscene.com/chavez-ma...revenue--57372

even after you take out for expenses and the promotion of the fight, millions of dollars are still out there.

at least 10 million probably went to Arum I'm guessing.
what? you seem to be very uneducated on how revenue streams work dude

if the fight made 25 million, half immediately goes to the cable provider, so that leaves 12.5m, around 10 percent goes to the network, hbo in this case, so that leaves 10 million

4.5 million of that 10 million went to main event, around 1 million would have gone to the whole undercard, at least a few million goes in the promotion, it leaves little for arum too

chavez has just been talking to haymon and richard too much

look at floyd and chino, 1.5m to chino lol, thats it! chavez was getting 2.5m plus ppv bonus, would have made double most likely

al haymon and richard are kunts, cannot wait until they are dead, hopefully it happens soon to save boxing
You are wrong here. Cotto exposed them on that, this is why Cotto formed his own outfit and is now a partner with Top Rank when it comes to them working together. GBP / Haymon gets their guys the $$ this is why they are gobbling up everyone. Chavez is the A side period ! how is Richard and Haymon killing boxing? Because they have their fighters backs? Because they do not drop their fighters after a loss? Because they are loyal to their fighters? Because they get maximum $ for their fighters? Wake up, look at top rank, was their undercard worth the ticket for Pac's last fight, where Arum flately said he could care less about the under card and that it was all about the headliner? GBP dished out a historical amount of $ for their undercard on Mayweather's last fight, to where Floyd reached into his own purse to pull it off - Here is the last 2 years of Top Ranks relevance - Pac vs Marquez / Pac vs Bradley / Bradley vs Marquez / Rios vs Alverado 1 / rios vs alverado 2 / Bradley vs Russian / alverado vs Russian / rios vs pac / pac vs Bradley 2 / marquez vs alverado = 6 fighters / 10 fights, go and support that !

GGG is the undefeated one who's never lost AND the one moving up a weight class for the first time to fight a Cruiserweight AND he would probably take this fight for like 500,000....

This is a clear duck. Sorry. Add Chavez Jr to the list of people avoiding the second most avoided man in boxing.

        Such a shame.

I don't know what's in store for Chavez after leaving Arum. It could be better or worse. Gamboa made the same move and look where he is now. Cotto broke his ties with Arum and yet he's doing business with him again. Let's see what happens.

            Wouldn't be surprising.

This is a guy who's "0" was protected with a draw against Carlos Molina, a split decision against Matt Vanda...not to mention the decision against Vera in the first fight.

There's a reason why Junior has needed so many rematches in his career.

I don't know, it wasn't any promoter that had Senior go on that "Adios" tour that included an exhaustive press tour (with Junior) for his fight with Ivan Robinson..to drum up support for a pay per view fight card that featured Junior in prominent undercard role.

Junior was again on Senior's undercard for the Grover Wiley fight...and after Wiley upset Senior, Junior fought him on the Top Rank pay per view

Junior was being featured prominently (in complete mismatches) on ppv undercards like Cotto-Judah, Pacquiao-Solis, etc. (to much criticism at the time).

And it was Top Rank that managed to get Junior through rough patches with Carlos Molina, Matt Vanda, Brian Vera...not to mention the continuous weight problems and drug suspensions and everything else.

Not sure Junior is in this position with any promoter but Top Rank.

Pac vs rios = 475k ppvs = Chavez vs Martinez

Pac supposedly got a guaranteed $20 million for the same amount of ppvs Chavez did against Martinez. How much was Chavez paid in that fight? Find out and then we will know if Arum or Chavez is right.
