Comments Thread For: Amir Khan Eyes Maidana Rematch, Guerrero, Porter

Khan was asked on Ringside about who he would like to face, he mentioned Maidana and a couple of other names. He doesn't, it's merely a suggestion on my part. Khan should be looking to target him when he moves up. Since both are with, Al Haymon, it should definitely be possible. If Garcia is out of the question, then he should fight Guerrero or Porter. Maidana is a pointless fight for him.Comment

Now I ask you honestly do you think his team will risk him in these fights when they clearly avoided Alexander who doesn't carry as much power as those 2, bearing in mind a loss against either kills the Mayweather fight?Comment

I agree but we are responding to Khan's comments above and his clearly mentioned Maidana. Maidana is the man of the moment and I suppose that's why his name is been mentioned. I agree Porter, Guerrero is fights that are intruiging.

If i had any say, i would veer Khan away from Mayweather. Khan's fascination with that moron, is peculiar. You would think after the way Floyd ****ted on him, he would become a lot more wise and skeptical. If he, or his team, had any semblance of a brain, they would try to get him out of his contract [become a free agent or sign with Matchroom], or even sign with TR. Three big fights are waiting for him, and also a fan friendly fight with Rios.Comment

Well, since he won't shut up about Mayweather, they should feel obliged to chuck him in with either of those two. Yes, after his last performance, i don't see a reason as to why he would be forced to avoid them two. Haymon manages all of the fighters mentioned, for him it's a win-win situation.

I agree with this but his team want the last big money fight from Khan so will avoid the names mentioned - let's see if I'm correct when they announce his next opponent it will be boxer with limited power - someone like Alexander or Bradley, still established name but someone who will be less of a threat to Khans glass jaw.Comment
