Khan isn't being measured by a different set of rules, but when you call out the best name in boxing there is no easy route to get that fight, you have to show and prove, not fight an easy opponent for your first fight at welter weight. If Khan want's the easy route he should keep Mayweather's name out of his mouth.

Boxing is about fighting the right fights, if Brook beats Porter that's a good fight for people in the UK. Broner is considered to be **** now, if Khan would have beat Broner before Maidana did then your point will be valid. The boxing public disses Guerrero now after his lost to Mayweather with all the bull**** he talked about Mayweather just to get beat convincingly. So those 2 opponents doesn't do anything for Khan.

Keith Thurman is advertised as the boogyman nobody want's to fight, and he's undefeated. So a victory over Thurman will put Khan in a position where people will apply pressure on Mayweather to fight Khan, other than that outside of beating Porter if he wins against Brook or fighting Maidana again to take advantage of the recent shine Maidana has garnered after his good performance in his fight with Mayweather. Khan needs those three victories on his record next, not all three but any one of them will be good for a Mayweather fight. Anything less than will be futile.

You need to live in the real world. No one in the wider public knows who Keith Thurman is. Broner took a loss but he's still a huge name and people know Guerrero by association with Mayweather.

To sell a PPV fight, you need to be known. Keith Thurman is co-main eventing at the StubHub Centre. The guy is not relevant to the wider audience.

No but he did admit to using it before the Khan fight. Khan fought a PEDs cheat and still won in most people's eyes. It's incredible that he's actually given **** for that fight.

We have our differences about Amir Khan but I can choose to agree to disagree with your sentiments towards the subject. However, if Khan would have done what Guerrero did at the space and time Guerrero achieved it, then yes Khan will deserve a fight with Mayweather, but he didn't, so Khan doesn't deserve a Mayweather fight based on his merits.

PEDerson himself admitted that he took PED's in first fight against Khan. Go and google that thing might improve your knowlege on the scenario. Also Khan dropped PEDerson twice in first round but was awared only a single KD. Khan won that fight against all odds was heavily robbed. Give credit to Khan for taking that fight in the DC when he was the Unified champ and could've easily taken the fight to the Uk that fight hurt Khan's career bad and camp leading up to Garcia fight was a mess as PEDerson's rematch was cancelled.
