This is when the man moved up 2 weight classes to be the only man to hold 3 titles in 3 different weight classes at the same time. This is at welterweight when he was holding the featherweight title.
A very slow Marquez can cause many problems with Manny. Armstrong would without a doubt cause problems.
The lack of respect and trust in the greats of the past is either lack of knowledge, respect, bias or straight fan boy ******ty.
The fact you put up the first fight you find on YouTube is obvious to your knowledge.Comment

Actually, Armstrong was only a 2 weight champ t this stage as he moved down to win the LW strap after the Ross fight.
What makes you say that? Manny was phenomenol at that weight, people tend to forget how ferocious and fast he was there.Comment

The fight is when both of them at their bests. whenever that may be.
Not what they could have been in different circumstance.
Modern gloves and 15 rounds.Comment

I was just countering the notion that older fighters would struggle with the modern conditioned athlete. I think a lot of modern athletes would also struggle with the toughness and frequency under which fights were made pre-war.Comment

Swings and roundabouts IMO.
They fought more frequently back then but did not spar a lot.
Armstrong and Pacquiao are both very well conditioned it doesn't matter what era they were in.
Armstrong was at the top of the tree in his era just like Pacquiao is for his (especially in his prime)Comment
