I think he means that Floyd is known as the real champ here. Took Canelo belt so why pay fees for a paper belt. I understand the vacant thing and regular champ but this is how i think he views it
Y'all either need to do your homework or are just spewing out bull**** only to side with Canelo.

I don't get why some people are making a big deal about this fight being at 155 considering Lara has fought above the jr ww limit more times than Canelo. And when Canelo fought Trout, he was also putting his own WBC title on the line so it wasn't strictly an interim title fight.Comment

Lara's fought as high as 156 1/2 before.
If you don't want the belt then don't pay the fees.

Huh? Floyd Mayweather was the SUPER Champ when he faced Canelo. Which he got from Cotto NOT Canelo. Canelo was the regular champ, same thing Lara is atm, which he got from Trout.

And he lost to Floyd which means he views Floyd as the champ.
He realizes there is one champ and that is Floyd. So why pay for a paper belt when he will be considered a champion but not the ChampionComment

Having said that, for a guy that is quite short, he seems to weigh a lot and could easily make 160 but the guys there would be even taller, stronger and hit harder, have better punch resistance too. So now there's a bit of a catch 21 situation. At 154 I'm sure he's feeling drained. I think Canelo has the boxing tools to beat Lara but if he gases, Lara will catch him. And fighters who are trying hard to make weight often gas.
But.....if Canelo moves up to 160 he'll get stopped by much bigger guys.Comment

Look buddy, you might wanna think before you call someone ******ED.
The belt that Lara has at the moment is the EXACT SAME BELT Trout had when Canelo fought him. So wtf is your point? Lara fought Trout for the interim belt but was promoted to 'World Champion' which is the same belt Trout had prior to the Canelo bout.
Keep up. Do your homework.

There's no catchweight. If you pay attention to the weights of fighters for non-title fights you'd know fighters weight in 2, 3, even 4 pounds above their normal weight division. I think Canelo is being quite generous in having the fight at 155. And there's no reason to fight for Lara's title unless Canelo wants a Mayweather rematch, which he obviously doesn't yet. One pound and no title on the line is no big deal compared to the diva s**t Mayweather and Cotto demand.
I understand you want what's best for Lara. You want the title on the line because if Lara wins then he has at least a long shot at getting Mayweather, and you want the weight at 154 because the more they weigh you think the more it benefits Canelo.
But you have to understand that Lara is not even the B-Side, he is the Z-Side. Nobody cares about what's best for Lara other than you and Lara's team.
Or are we all forgetting that he missed the weight vs Angulo? And instead of trying to lose the pound they paid Angulo off. Or did he do all that on purpose too?
