I know without a doubt Lara would give Mayweather trouble, but there is no way Mayweather fight him mainly for finacial reasons, but I would love to see this fight.

You really believe that bull****? He fought Trout for the same fkin belt with no problem. Not to mention that "interim belt" is Floyd's mandatory. So you would think if he wanted a rematch he would go for the belt.

Guess my comment went over your head. It was a joke playing on people saying Canelo struggles to make 154 while Canelo himself says he can make the weight. I couldn't care less about what he said about the belt. But maybe you're right, I mean he couldn't possibly have realized that the whole "interim belt" thing is bull. The Angulo fight was contracted at 154. They changed the weight requirement when Alvarez team realized that he wasn't going to make 154. This fight is contracted at 155. Alvarez will weigh in at 157. It says a lot about his discipline when a guy who spent virtually his entire career at 147 now suddenly can't make 154.

I can't help but like Canelo, we need more fighters that say sod the belts, I want to fight [best available opponent] for the prestige of beating them.

They said he was cherry picking weak opposition, they said he was scared of Lara, so he fights Trout, Mayweather, Angulo and Lara in a row.

If he beats Lara I hope he moves up to 160 shortly after where there would be loads of other good opponents.

Fighting at 155 pounds is disrespectful to the sport. If he was fighting GGG at 157 or 158, that would be another story. But fighting a fighter from your division at a higher weight because Canelo doesn't feel he has to go through the trouble of making weight for a regular fight... I am not liking it.

...he was brought up fighting inflated 140-147 guys to 154! He got used to the hand me downs. Inflated record, overlyhyped and pushed down the fans throats and some of you bought up into his hype.

If Lara beats Canelo, everyone will be asking for Maweather vs Lara but I doubt Mayweather takes it. And if Lara does beat Canelo it will be in front of a pretty decent size Mexican audience and guess what days Mayweather fights on? There would be absolutely no reason for Floyd not to fight Lara.

You of all people calling fans delusional

Anyhow saying he was a teenager is not an excuse it's simply a fact. It's pretty logical that your body goes to extreme changes during your teenage years which will alter your physic. The kid turned pro at 15 you'd expect he would naturally get bigger and outgrow the division he was fighting at while he was going through puberty.
