I usually like to make fun of the comical hype UK fighters receive but Froch is not a good example of that. He has fought the best and beaten most of them. Pascal, Taylor, Dirrell, Kessler, Abraham, Johnson, Ward, Bute in a row. No "tune up" fights in between. Where else is anyone doing that?

It's no worse than anywhere else to be honest. Heard of Berto (US), Broner (US), Bute (Can), Canelo (Mex), Matthysse (Arg)?

Some of those are good fighters, but they also received the 'comical hype' you describe.

Agree tho, Froch isn't one of them, he earned his way to the top.
