If a non-African-American boxer who is just as egotistical as Broner said on a post fight interview "I just beat the fuck out of an African-American" people wouldn't find that to be offensive?

NAACP and all those so called reverends would be all over that comment.

Is Mexican a slur, is it a put down.. All he said was the facts,, he just beat a Mexican..

If he is in trouble for that, then i don't ever want to hear someone hype up a Mexican-puerto Rico fight,,,

Nationalities are the biggest selling point in boxing.. If broner gets in trouble for saying he whipped a "Mexican" then I don't want to hear anyone hyped as the next "Mexican" star, or it's a classic "Mexican-Puerto Rican" war...., Don't use nationality to hype a fight if a fighter can't say he beat up that nationality.....
Hell,,, PAC was known as the mexi-cutioner, but broner can't say he whipped a Mexican,,

      Last I checked Mexican wasn't a diss...
I agree to an extent. However, with today's society and some of the younger people having no filter, I believe we are going to see more discipline for people who choose to present themselves in the manner he has. Their is a product being sold here and all leagues are getting more image conscious. When he beat Paulie, he was just as disrespectful and was never checked on it. I'm thinking the big wigs are getting tired of his act just as the majority of the public is. Despite what the morons here would like to be true, controversy doesn't always sell. I don't think this was the moment they could have gotten him for but they are probably protecting themselves from a future episode.

I still don't think saying he beat a Mexican makes it racial slur. We are now too sensitive to everything regarding race. The only negative thing I could pull out from what he said was the "********"... And am one of the last person to defend him on here.

Well I dont think it has anything to do with race. Broner insulted a nation who was celebrating their national holiday on that very day, and did so in a vulgar classless manner. Thats what is being adressed here, imagine someone saying that during the 4th of July, i wouldn't want to imagine it either.

Broner & A Host Of Rap Stars Is What Gives The African American Race A Gangster Tag

This guy has always been a thug this way. He's also joined at the hip with Floyd and Floyd knows how vulgar this guy is, but controversity/edgy they think sells tickets. NOBODY needs to be vulgar to be entertaining. He was off the charts promoting Paulie Mags fight, and Paulie was no saint, retaliating just as bad... which is fine. Paulie and Boner both got their beat down later for being punks. The NBA crucified Donald Sterling banning him, levying a $2.5M fine, and forcing him to liquidate his billion dollar business for a private conversation he had (an overkill reprimand). Should Boner be banned, withhold his purse for a very public comment???? I'm tired of this community thinking they never need to be held accountable for such vulgarities. Boner is nothing more than a B-level fighter to start with, his antics outside the ring, are so much offensive, why would any promotional company want to lock relationships with this gangster????

I don't believe the fact he beat a Mexican and stating it is what got him in trouble but more or less the manner in which he said it. Not only mockingly but highlighting profanity in a negative manner by applying "**** out of a" before saying Mexican. It was uncalled for, unnecessary and out of place in an arena filled with such people.

Imagine if Maidana would have said, "I just beat the **** out of an African American".. on MLK day and in a predominant African American crowd after bashing Broner. It just doesn't rub off well lol.

He didn't beat the phuck out of him though. It was a very average display against someone he should have dominated far easier.
