Quillin is the B-side. The fight should be on HBO. They just need to drop the ban and work with Haymon. He hasn't even headlined let alone co-featured yet. GGG is doing over 1 million views on his own.

There's been no movement there. Oscar talking about mending with arum. What about HBO?

I do hope Golovkin-Quillin can happen, there is no way that fight goes the distance and most likely one gets destroyed probably Quillin because he has no defense but we don't know exactly what sort of heat Golovkin can take.

I don't blame bob for asking for an extension or lower purse. If he was putting 2 TR fighters together, he would still have something to work with afterwards. Why would bob put up big money for taking a high risk fight where he has no future investment with either fighter afterward? He is not affiliated with GGG, and giving out huge purses for a fight that he cannot build from, would be silly.

I don't often agree with Bob, but I agree with his stance on this one.

Nothing I've heard. But GBP is doing nothing with Quillin. He's an American middleweight champion doing openers on triple and quadruple headers. And he looks more and more terrible against these handpicked journeyman they are sticking him in there with. Probably because he's bored.

I'm somewhat optimistic because I think he will get more than double the biggest purse of his career against GGG. HBO worked with Haymon to make Ward/Rodriguez. But they may be bitter about Haymon stealing Adonis though.

I have no clue what the plans are for this MW division. Martinez is broken into pieces and looking to cash out, Sturm won't leave his country and HBO and Showtime have GGG and Quillin doing showcase fights. Macklin, Murray, Geale and these other guys are sitting around waiting for the weakest belt holder.

If there's any fighter Haymon can pack off to HBO as an olive branch it's Quillin.
