    Yes it is....

It's also a nationality, but let's not beat around the bush or pretend for one second that when a police officer is told about a perpetrator that is described as "Mexican" he is going to go looking for some 6'3" blonde, blue haired guy who just robbed the liquor store.

So let's drop the dramatics and BS.

What Broner said was racist, bottom line. If it would have been any other race who said "I just beat the *** out of a black mother ***er" he would have had Al Sharpton at his door step with pitch forks and torches.

Broner is a ***in idiot, bottom line. In every single interview I have ever seen him in, he's disrespectful, curses up a storm and acts like a 12 year old on WSHH.

I hope the fine him, suspend him and make him apologize. He's a good fighter, but acts like a complete idiot and you can tell he comes from the gutter, with no education, good up bringing, or good parents. Trash produces trash and that's what Broner's parents created.
I've come to respect your posts but I respectfully disagree with this.

It's disgraceful when people use the "well if he said.....al sharpton" defense. What does that have to with this? If Mexicans do not have someone in their community who reacts and responds to bigotry/racism, that doesn't make black activists that do it wrong.

I agree Broner is an idiot. But this was the same schtick he uses after every fight. he doesn't single out one particular group.

If yu want to suspend him for cursing live on the air, fine. But why does he deserve a suspension now and not the 4 or 5 other times he's used the Can MAn stuff?

How is saying I beat the **** out of a mexican racist?

I explained why, because Mexican is a nationality as well as race, let's not act like it's not. America is a melting pot much more than Mexico, so when you say "American" it doesn't denote race.

When you say "Mexican" it almost always does. I hate to use the Al Sharpton analogy but I'm sorry it's true. If you were to completely turn the actions of let's say Mayweather when he called Pac a race eater and other stuff, and you have Pac say that Mayweather like chitlins and watermelon, it would be a **** storm and you know it.

I can only be so PC, the truth is the truth. What Broner said was idiotic, and if the shoe was on the other foot, RACIST. I personally don't take offense, because I have heard that type of stuff my whole life, but what I think has happened is that the WBC is cracking down on his ******ity and the fact we cannot have double standards in race.

Saying one tiny thing against blacks will get you in deep trouble, it should be the same for all races because we are all equal.

Here comes the "you're a sensitive little girl act" lmmfao. It never fails. What ever happens to Broner in the ring happens. You can't take credit for that.

This clown couldn't wait to post the "if the shoe was on the other foot" garbage. He even added his own twist to it too. Talking to him only adds fuel to the fire. Deep down he's a bigot. It'll come out.

But you know Broner has said african and african americans before in his schtick. Thats why, respetfully, I think you know it wasn't racist.

Again, if the black, gay, and ***ish communities (for example) have people that will speak out against comments when they occur and other groups don't have those representatives who do that, that is on them. that isn't a valid point to make what Broner said worse. Your complaint should be that no Mexican activist spoke out against Broner (none that I know of). Instead, you criticize what may have happened if the situation was different. That is a cop out.

If the wbc is really cracking down on ******ity, fine. As I said in the other thread, this is like the NBA. Punish hard when its low hanging fruit to make up for letting sterloing get away with past indescretions that were worse. Frankly, they should have suspended him after the sex tape.

Again, you are punishing action as a way to defend against inaction. If you are upset that the black community has activists that respond, perhaps you can cultivate and develop some in your community that will do the same.

As for this, we agree about Broner the person, accept for your point about his parents. you have no idea what they've been through or done. On this, he was ****** to make this statement on cinco de mayo weekend. But if he is, as you say, racist now, then he's been racist and I haven't seen people get on him.

                  Respectfully submitted.

                  • I don't see an outcry from Africans or African Americans on this issue. You can fine him for using foul language on television maybe which is also ******, but suspending him and making him issue an apology...gtfooh with that.

I appreciate your ability to talk and debate this in an intelligent manner, unlike Frank Duckets who has no other life than to troll...sad.

In response to what you said, let me make this clear. I don't think or better yet, don't know if Broner is a racist. I personally don't care, what I do think is that it has nothing to do with Al Sharpton coming to the defense of injustices (or what he sees as injustices) for the black community.

We have those same leaders in the Mexican community we just aren't as vocal about it. En****** like La Raza do exist, but they don't make major headlines like Sharpton does who prefers to be in the spot light and I see as a charlatan because of his actions, not what he fights for.

Second, if you are going to hold standards of not being able to say things against blacks and ***s for example, then we need to include everyone. Is it to PC? Maybe, but it's the world we live in and I think because so many people have cried wolf, this is the response.

You are 100% correct on Sterling, still doesn't equate to Broner though and the WBC is not the NBA. Broner has done enough ****** things leading up to this and I think this was the last straw.
