  • Comments Thread For: Donaire Wants at Least Six To Seven Divisional Titles

Nonito “The Filipino Flash” Donaire is determined to chase world titles in six or seven different weight divisions beginning with his quest for the featherweight title which will be his fifth when he battles WBA champion Simpiwe Vetyeka of South Africa at the Cotai Arena of the plush Venetian Resort Hotel and Casino in Macau on May 31.

BoxingScene.com/Manila Standard watched Donaire train for two solid hours on Tuesday at the Elorde Gym along Sucat Road in Paranaque and were amazed with how he went through a strenuous regimen and the dedication he showed in getting into the best shape possible.

Keep dreaming. Donaire gets smashed at 130-135. I honestly don't know is he will even get past Vetyeka.

divisional titles are the new way to build a "great" resume.

Phase 1=dip into a weight class Phase 2=beat a mediocre fighter with a paper belt Phase 3=call yourself a champ

Like you said, that's IF he gets past Vetyeka.

If Salido isn't too damaged I don't even think he would beat Salido at 130.

Yeah right. Donaire is talking crazy right now. RigoDaddy took his soul and punched him with his own glove.

''He's already lost 10lbs. He is around 136 and we are about 3 ˝ weeks away and have time to cut it down gradually''

And people still swear blind Donaire is this tiny guy? He walks around at around 150lbs ffs

                Nonito can do it
he simply can't afford to blow this Vetyeka fight upcoming
his stock fell in his last 2 fights, he needs to recoup
beating Vetyeka puts him back on the right track
he's got some good names on his resume already
he's big for the smaller weights, so he can be strong up to LW maybe
still wanna see him fully unify at least 1 division he settles into though

                  Nope-nito Dontcaire.

Rigo owns that soul. His power isn't carrying over. He jumps any more weight classes and he's the Filipino Malignaggi - with half the boxing skill.
