Kessler:Golovkin is overrated. I'd fight him at a catchweight!

To lionheart-boxing.dk,Mikkel Kessler says that he'd love to fight Gennady Golovkin:

"I don't think he's as good as he is made out to be. He has looked good in his fights, but that's easy when you are fighting bad opponents. I'd even fight him at a catchweight. 164 or 163 lbs. I can get down there easy", Kessler said.

He should stick to 168, particularly at his age.

Would Golovkin get credit for beating a 163lb Kessler?

A fight closer to 168 shouldn't be dismissed out of hand anyway, given that there aren't a lot of alternatives for Golovkin at the moment.

Make it happen. GGG will find a way out and his fans will find a way of spinning it as always.

Thinks someone is overrated and yet wants to fight him. Now what would it do for his legacy if he's fighting someone he thinks that is overrated? Hmmm!

And yes I'd give GGG all the credit in the world if he took this fight @ 164/165+
before a hormonal Golovkid comes in with the ever so tiresome ''you won't give GGG no credit doe''

Kessler maybe past his best but this would be a massive step up and a real legit test. I will take Kessler to win this fight with no hesitation.

good fight, dumb move. why, mikkel?

kessler can make a lot of money without american TV. golovkin makes his dough off of HBO buying the fight, and his checks really aren't all that big yet. other than cotto, his ratings are about as good as you get on the network right now, so they want him around. i don't think they'd offer kessler more money than he could make at home, and on euro TV.

i wouldn't want to see this fight at 164 lbs, even if kessler insists that he can make that weight.
