From the opening round Floyd went to the ropes and pridefully wanted to prove that he was the sharper inside fighter. He normally goes to the ropes in the 8th round to rest. No matter how many times Marcos hit him, he stayed their.

Floyd has fought opponents WAAAY better, faster, stronger, bigger, better footwork than Marcos He overpowered Canelo and actually walked him down. I knew he would be too strong for Marcos.

Marcos didnt fight that Floyd. This Floyd was weak, no pop, flashy soft punches. Against Nelo he buckled him with a stiff jab in the 4th round and I have doubts Marcos can last 4 rounds with Nelo. Btw, I called this fight a draw. No way did Floyd win, but Marcos didnt completely dominate. So I aint biased.

Im not one to ignore effective aggression. When Marcos is outworking Floyd and Floyd is blocking, at the same time his whole body is rocking from the power. Then he doesnt throw any punches the entire round. I could give it to Marcos or maybe a draw. Floyd aint do shiet.

Effective aggression from from clubbing punches to the top and back of Floyd's head? Rabbit punches? Leading with his head and low blows? Not many clean punches? Most of the success he had was going to the body out of everything. That's not what I call effective aggression

Don't get me wrong. Maidana has success and did a great job of staying on top of Floyd and making him fight but Floyd got the better of Maidana. Maidana only won 4 rounds, giving him 5 is being generous.

A tiger can't change it's stripes. Maidana is an aggressive fighter, with an incredibly awkward style.

Canelo is much more skilled and a natural counter puncher. It was a more favorable style match up for Floyd to fight Canelo.

Maidana wasn't the A-Side of the card to choose gloves which is why he eventually had to put on the ones he had on. Otherwise they could've called off the fight. But they didn't.

Why didn't they call the fight off altogether?
