he hasn't used his feet for ages, and it wastes alot of stamina the way he does it, not like pacquiao, he's more like amir khan, at this point in his career he probabley doesn't feel that "energy" to bother with all that

The angles had a lot to do with it but it was also the weird way Maidana would put shots together and the fact that Floyd's counters didn't interrupt his punches. One of the only times I've ever seen Floyd look confused. Chino started to tire in the sixth though. Pattern of the fight changed noticeably from then on.
it was maidana's confidence, you step forward on floyd and he'll step back

even marquez pushed him to the ropes plenty
      ortiz

just walk to the guy and he'll plant himself on the ropes for you

Be careful what you wish for.

Floyd said he would stand in front of Shane Mosley all night, and he did, with a high guard but he stayed there to be hit. As a result, fans said his legs were gone. Floyd to prove a point to the fans claiming his legs were gone, and to prove he purposely fought Mosley like that, went on to box/move against Ortiz, Cotto, Guerrero, Canelo.

In the pre fight press conferences for Maidana, Floyd said the fight will not be like Canelo and Guerrero, that he will stay in front of Maidana. He did just that, fans anti-Floyd fans say he lost his leg, Maidana forced him to fight that way, he could not move, etc. Floyd now promises the rematch will be different, meaning he's gonna box. So you guys want Floyd to be in more exciting fights, but when he is, you call him old, say he lost his legs, etc.

Floyd needs to just box and put boxing clinics on. Even when he attempts to fight exciting for these rotten ass fans they find a way to discredit him.

Floyd said he was going to stand infront of Ortiz and Cotto aswell.

He even said the exact same "I did it for the fans who pay money for PPV" after the Cotto fight.

In the face off for Ortiz ; "It's not going 12. I'm not taking a step back, and neither is he so it won't go 12"

The same reason why he could not do it against Hatton, Maidana's footspeed and ability to cut off the ring was decent! not as good as Hattons! But Maidana did not smother his own inside work as much as Hatton!

"If you can move forward faster than Mayweather can move backwards and sideways, one of his biggest defensive weapons is neutralized"...

Hes been passed his prime for years now. His legs looked fine vs Guerrero, Cotto, Ortiz and Canelo.

Godamn this is too spot on. "Rotten ass fans" is right instead of praising Floyd who they claim "runs" and doesnt put on good fights for going toe to toe with a 165 pound Maidana these rotten ass fans rather shyt on Floyd.

Be careful what you wish for indeed. If anyone thinks Maidana will have half the success he had in fight 1 they need their fuccin head examined.

His legs looked pretty bad against Cotto.

And Ortiz, Canelo and Guererro aren't fighters who will consisently put pressure on Floyd effectively like Maidana can.

His legs are pretty far gone.
