Hearns and Leonard, didn't they start at 147? Duran, the smallest one there, started at 135 and was big on fight night anyway. Floyd at 37, weighs 148lbs at a WW...rehydrating a whopping 1lb. These guys were closer to Maidana's weight already at 147.

You are talking nonsense now. The beating Maidana put on Floyd does not exist.
Meanwhile Martinez spent most his career at 147/154 and Golovkin is an average sized MW at best. Floyd won't face them but Duran didn't have a problem at age 37 taking a MW title from 6'1 natural LHW Iran Barkley

    Both definitely meaningful fights.
You're forgetting that you're talking to a F1omo hence Kev having no idea who Ernesto Marcel is which shows what his opinion is worth. Isn't worth your time.

      • Let's get back to the root issue, is Floyd going to run in the rematch?

        • yes he will, he will hold and elbow even more so than before but it will make little difference, I expect chino to dominate again and get robbed

WAR MAIDANAAA BABYYY!!! I still watch the fight and it's just incredible to see everybody going crazy for Maidana and celebrating his victory after the fight. Memorable night, we ****ing did it!!!!!!!!!!
95% of boxing fans saw Mayweather winning. Duran does not like Mayweather.

              • I thought it could have been a draw but if Maidana would have got his hand raised it would have been deserved. I hope not getting the decision doesnt set him back because thats the best ive ever seen him..... he will need that intensity again to win the rematch

                looking forward to the rematch

                  *sigh*

He beat HOFer and great featherweight champion Ernesto Marcel years before Buchanan. He beat unified, lineal 130 champ Kobayashi before Buchanan, along with perennial contender angel Garcia and also future bantam title challenger Carlos Mendoza at 118.

He didn't have an historic run before lightweight, but beating Marcel alone is huge. That's arguably as good as any win Floyd has, considering timing.

                  • Duran has an opinion just like anyone else. Maidana didn't win, but Duran thinks that he did. 99% of the fans, boxers and ex boxers, press, judges and ring side observers, said Floyd won.

And Duran hates Floyd because he sees Sugar in him lmao.

                    • In before we compare the Duran that fought Leonard to 37 year old Floyd of today.
