Just wondering what you guys think?
Matthysse is actually a boxer puncher whereas Maidana is a puncher, a wild man and it's wild men who have the best chances to beat guys like Mayweather. Matthysse would simply get outboxed and outclassed, heck I thought that about Maidana because I didn't believe him to have the speed to catch Mayweather but that night, he seemed like lightning almost.
Matthysse is a cultured beast.
Maidana is a wild man.

Chino is one of the most deceitful boxers there is. He has deceptive skills, like Robert Garcia said when you see him shadow box he looks like a amateur and nothing really special, but when you get in the ring with him it's a different story. His body language doesn't say much that's where he gets you. A lot boxers watching tape might say won't get hit with that overhand right but they do. Everyone he fought including Floyd got hit with it, even on the ropes he goes for the body attack then throws that uppercut, then when you least expect it, BOOM that overhand hits and it fast as F**K. Floyd already dropped his guard because he had to respect Chinos power to the body that's when he throws that overhand right. Floyd even said he got surprised on how good a jab Chino got.

I gotta say their intangibles are different. Maidana keeps his cool better than Matthysse. Matthysse has better conditioning and work rate. Id say Matthysse is a better boxer but as of right now Maidana has been better against the best hes fought. I still like Matthysse to win if he and Maidana ever fight.

I just think that Matthysse can get a little too shook up from hard punches and knock downs, while Maidana instead wakes up. Also I like that when things aren't going Maidana's way, he does not complain, he just gets even. When Matthysse is losing or gets cut, he looks a bit lost.
Matthysse is the more polished boxer of the two, not a more polished version of Maidana. But that does not matter, Mayweather, Broner, Ortiz, Kotelnyk, Khan were all far more polished boxers than Maidana but Maidana still beat 3 of those guys and fought very competitively against two other one's.
