Only thing I thought was uncalled for was the knee. Everything else goes though IMO.

Honestly, it takes some pretty serious stuff to make me angry about rough fighting in boxing. Like Mares/Agbeko level fouling. Otherwise, it's a fight. ****'s going to happen. Low blows, rabbit punches, clinching, elbows, takedowns. It happens all the time.

Other than the knee, I didn't have a problem with this fight at all.

floyd was holding excessively and throwing elbows from the very beginning. maidana was doing dirty tactics here and there and most of it was later in the fight. you also can't fault maidana for punching to the back of the head when floyd keeps leaning forward mid swing.

if weeks caught the knee, he should've deducted a pt. otherwise, all was fair, both were doing some rough tactics. chino was rough housing floyd because floyd keeps tying him up, elbowing him whenever he gets close.

Now there's a problem when he allows low blows. Huh.

1) Garcia was deducted a point.

2) I don't remember Garcia spearing and attempting to knee Matthysse.

Maidana should have been deducted a point early in the fight, but the referee let it turn into an ugly brawl. It has little to do with bias; anyone with objectives eyes should be able to see that points needed to be deducted.

I also don't understand why people are moaning about Mayweather tying Maidana up. That's exactly what I would do against an opponent who opened my eye with a head butt, punched me below the belt, and rabbit punched me. It wouldn't be enough to deal with his offence in a conventional manner, because he would cheat to cause damage. You'd either have to keep him at a distance, or tangle him up completely.

I said this soon after the fight, fuck Maidana. I'm not interested in seeing a rematch, because I do not believe in indulging blatant cheats.

My point is that many people complaining about Maidana's low blows were calling people whiners for complaining about Garcia's low blows. What's the difference?

That was a problem too. But there's a difference, Weeks at least DEDUCTED A POINT from Garcia. It happened a little too late though.

But in Saturday's fight, Weeks did NOTHING. And it wasn't just low blows Floyd was receiving, but there were tons of rabbit punches, thrown knees, etc.
