You could say that. It is top three there is no doubt about that. WW has the best mix of talent IMO. You have older great fighters (Pacquiao, Mayweather) and just enough promising young fighters to make it interesting (Thurman, Garcia, Porter, etc.)

floyd looking vulnerable has made it better and deeper. Before the fight, the only ww NSB posters said floyd could fight was Manny.

Since saturday posters now think-Manny, tim, porter, thurman, maidana 2, Ruslan and Khan would be good fights.

Half of the appeal to welterweight is there are so many great champions around the division that can move up or down for the big fights.

It would be by far the best division if it werent for the cold war. Floyd, Pac, Bradley, Khan, Thurman, Porter... that's a great super six right there.

I would say so, and by quite a margin.

Especially if you take into context that many fights can be made from 140-154 - it's quite an awesome prospect.

Pretty much all PPV attractions and bigger attractions in world boxing are in and around that division.

it usually is though light heavy and middle should get honorable mention also 154 pretty good
