Cmon my man, can we stop with the technicality stuff. Last minute stuff happens as well.

If you didn't like the way the gloves thing went down, cool. It created unnecessary crap because neither guy was going to actually boycott.

If you are the TS and post its the 1st time you ever heard of this, then its clear you either do not really follow the sport closely or are pretending just for criticisms sake.

I know ODH has done it. I also know floyd agreed to let Manny pick the gloves during the first negotiaition.

Its always amazing to see posters who claim they are boxing fans submit posts that show a clear lack of knowledge about the topic they are complaining about.

Newsflash mike-nothing you see floyd do during negotiations and lead up to the fight is new. Its ALL been done before, and mostly by the fighters you love.
Wow you are reaching at the highest level just to defend Floyd . First, why compare the situation with ODH when the said agreement was there in the contract? You know, at least Floyd had time to adjust to the glove. IT WAS AGREED UPON and was stated in the contract, and way beyond the fight night. Second, for pac do you have a source the says pac pick the gloves? and if it is the case, there was no date of the fight yet.

Saw the vid. Straight con job. The stuttering fmj his pops and the CEO dude was doing, you know the setup to put maidana in the pillow gloves was in. Couldn't get a simple word like distribution out his mouth. Fight should be a no contest.

Posting facts is not defending floyd. That you would even frame my post that way speaks volumes about you as a boxing fan and as a poster.

If you didn't like the timing, we can agree, even though this is not the 1st or last time an issue will occur this close to a fight.

Just don't act like this is the 1st time you've seen this happen just because its floyd and he ended up winning a close fight.

indulge me, when has anything similar like this happened?
you let the technicality issue slide like it didn't make a HUGE difference lol.

That's because it is the same thing and that's why you brought it up, but because you don't like Floyd(most likely because he's black) it's a problem.

The last time gloves were an issue- I pointed it out already. The reason it didn't become bigger news-the other guy just said OK. The last time there was an issue this close to a fight-we can go back to Manny saying he wasn't going to fight because of the purse for Hatton.

The point of my post is simple-issues have happened in the past and will in the future. Most of us who watch the sport know this.

How much of an impact on the fight did the glove issue have IYO?

all the gloves issue you pointed out were a non-issue because they were straightened out in the contract. glovegate is totally different, it's just floyd being a pu$$y.

no one knows how much impact it would have. while i dont think it wouldnt, and if you think floyd thought the same, why change it? lol

It amazes me how people can still defend this guy. I actually used to like watching the guy because he does have talent. But he is so concerned with not losing that 0 that he looks for every cheap way to gain an advantage, yet he wants to be The Best Ever. The guy is pathetic.

Mayweather has mastered the art of deception. He just keeps tarnishing his reputation, from the weigh in scandal with Marquez, to not wanting to fight Pacquiao, to now the glove gate with Maidana. The guy is a prima donna and because of the revenue he generates he can get away with it.

Him and his team are just like his entrance, a circus. A bunch of clowns who manipulate people to their terms and then want to be considered the best. Until some underdog like Maidana comes along and finally beats the **** out of the guy, he is going to continue to dictate who, what, why, when, where and how he fights. Because of the revenue he generates for Vegas and revenue and opportunity he creates for up and coming boxers, it will continue.

The real champion in all this is Pacquiao. Humble, no scandals ever, except for when the circus team decided to accuse him of PEDs. Other than that, he'll fight anyone and anywhere, and at the end of the day respect the sport and the fans.
