And he's going to end up in the same boat as he was with Top Rank...I like Rigo he just has zero personality. It seems to be a thing with most cuban boxers, they don't promote themselves well or just flat out refuse to. Get this man some damned media training he can afford it. A guy like Rigo should've and could've been doing them univision and telemundo boxing commentary for ages to expand his exposure to the latin fight fans. I really wish he'd put himself out there more.

Rigo and his team should be happy with all the good purses Top Rank has given him. It will be funny and sad to see GBP/Showtime not sign him, he will end up with a third rate promoter and struggle even more.

Haymon is an Adviser not a manager. Gary Russell, Lamont Peterson, Erislandy Lara and others still have their managers.
What's the difference really? Rigo would still have to pay him yes or no?

TMT has a very small stable, (and no one on Rigondeaux's weight) same thing with Gosen and D'Bella, so the best option still is GBP.

I hope he makes the best career move at this point in time he needs to stay busy because being 33 is not young any more.
I feel that if he signed with Mayweather Promotions then he would benefit from their symbiotic relationship with Golden Boy, especially because they don't have anyone else to push as Money comes down the home stretch of his Showtime fight deal. So theoretically, all the GBP fighters would be conducted as joint promotions with TMT since they work together all the time anyway.

I really think that having Rigo shadow Floyd everywhere as his new BFF makes perfect sense . . . think about the possibilities

lol I am sure he is very happy about that, he better try to end his run with Top Rank in style and in exciting fashion. I could see him working with Al Haymon and them making Rigondeaux vs Leo Santa Cruz down the line

First thing I do if I'm Rigo, once the Top Rank contract runs out, is call up Al Haymon and see if he's interested.

With Haymon its confusing. He draws the line between manager/adviser/promoter. All I was saying was Lara still has DeCubas Jr. and Haymon, Peterson still has Barry Hunter/Haymon, Maidana has Contursi/Haymon as do a lot of other fighters.

With Rigo he would have Hyde and Haymon handle his business.
