I agree with this right here..Chino has zero chance if he thinks in a rematch he will just go out there and do the same damn thing. Floyd now knows what storm is coming. This will be a clear pot shot contest with a few maidana slap boxing on the ropes moments. No rematch man...I'm watching now, with Showtime commentary (i had ****ty main event commentary here in Oz) and Paulie in round 6 is saying exactly what i thought and posted just an hour ago and exactly what i thought and many others said about Broner. They (Broner and Floyd) stood infront of Maidana and did not throw. They weren't "first" to the punch. Again i say Floyd would have done better in this particular fight if Roger came up with the gameplan for Maidana's style. He would have told Floyd to back him up and "be first."
Also i agree with Floyd on the proviso he hasn't actually gotten too old as a fighter in the fight just gone. Counter punchers generally do better in rematches.Comment

Wow. I'll look for that. It's always so interesting to see how these fighters age. I think Floyd realized years ago that he wasn't the same fighter and started making adjustments. But nothing you can do when the loss of reaction time means you're eating flush shots that would've never touched you in your prime.Comment

So, so true. His left hook was ridiculous. He barely throws it now. Last time I saw him fire a real good one was against Mosley. His left hook has been gone for ages. Even clearer in the Guerrero fight when he wasn't following up the str8 right with good left hooks. Floyd's left hook has been a lazy arm punch where the elbow and arm are too low, coming in at 45-60 degrees instead of 80-90. If you look at Floyd's early career and up to and including ODLH and to lesser degree Hatton, his left hook is like a laser. It was his best punch for most of his career, now it's his right hand. Increasingly Floyd is finding it harder to pull the trigger and is becoming more one handed with his power shots.Comment

I think Khan would give him a whole load of problems aswell.Yeah man, his reflexes have slowed a lot. There were times where he got nailed with straight rights just standing straight up -- never reacted. Bad, bad signs. Definitely couldn't pull the trigger at times but that's also something I've noticed for a while now. It was even more apparent on Saturday. I suspected this would happen, particularly coming off the high of the Canelo win. It's over, folks -- no way he goes through that contract undefeated. And yeah, Porter would beat him. I thought he could before Saturday night. I'm convinced now.Comment

There is an interview where a while ago, as long as 24 months probably where he himself mentions he has noticed a decrease in reflexes. Floyd Sr has also said it. Rewatching some of the early rds again now. Floyd does more than fine when he consitently jabs up and down and get's off first. Got him winning rd 2. So that's rd 2, 7, 9,10,11 and 12 reasonably clear even when close. That's 6 right there. Maidana didn't win but he made Floyd very uncomfortable. The margin or whether you think it's a draw depends on the scoring of rds 8,3 and 4 imo.Wow. I'll look for that. It's always so interesting to see how these fighters age. I think Floyd realized years ago that he wasn't the same fighter and started making adjustments. But nothing you can do when the loss of reaction time means you're eating flush shots that would've never touched you in your prime.Comment

rather see pac vs maydanna
if pac is smart enough he fights maidanna and beat the **** out of him. Then all the pressure falls on Floyd. What a move to prove who the **** is scare to make it happen. Which I know is the whole gayfeather family. nitramzaid@hotmail.comComment

Yeah that's very true. He's not sharp at all with it for the most part. His left hook has been gone for ages. Even clearer in the Guerrero fight when he wasn't following up the str8 right with good left hooks. Floyd's left hook has been a lazy arm punch where the elbow and arm are too low, coming in at 45-60 degrees instead of 80-90.
