He's absolutely right, a rematch would be totally different.

Because he'd stipulate what gloves Maidana could wear and likely put a rehydration clause in there, as well. Maybe even drain him to a catchweight for good measure.

I think that's very doubtful and considering the mess they just had with the gloves they'd likely negotiate all of that before the fight's signed.

Whatever the reason the fight was competitive, Maidena style, Floyd getting old, Floyd choice, May has found a hook for a great PPV fight in the fall.

I personally thought Floyd won 7-5 with no controversy. That being said I came across this today and thought it was funny as ****. Again, I like Floyd but this is hilarious.

I don't think there'd be any negotiating there. I don't see team Maidana compromising on the gloves in a rematch after his performance Saturday night, and I don't see Mayweather suddenly changing his mind and allowing him to wear the Everlast MXs.

Another factor that would make a rematch suck would be the referee. While I agree that Tony Weeks did a **** job this weekend, I think any referee in a rematch would be too conscious of Floyd's complaints and heavily favor him in the rematch.

Maidana can't beat Mayweather unless he's allowed to fight his fight and I can't see any referee allowing him to do that in a rematch when Floyd complained so much about it already.

With word of mouth of the fight out, I think a big indicator of a rematch will be in the replay shown this Saturday.

Also... who else is Floyd going to fight in September?

            Khan said no
Porter has to defend in July
            Thurman....nowhere near ready

Some people sound like they have a feeling Maidana will lose again next time.

One thing that surprised the **** out of me was how effective Maidana was with his jab at certain times, and it was all down to him throwing it first and Mayweather not getting off first at times. When Mayweather got off first he did much better.

Watching atm, up to rd ten. Floyd when he was getting off first and backing Maidana up is beating him easily. He will look to do that in the rematch and move more when he wants a breather.

Judging by the amount of Tards commenting on the fight it looks like that "Boycott Floyd's PPV" movement didn't go over so well.
