Now I know why Floyd do not want a piece of Pac. If Maidana's awkward offensive style gave Floyd fits, what more w/ Pac's. Adding more w/ a speed, power, relentless pressure, combinations, volume punching w/ the stamina of a 15 rounder match. Plus Pac has great footwok than Maidana. Now, May/Pac fight only in our dream. the chance to make it a reality is now closer to impossible.[/QUOTE]

"Floyd does not want a piece of Pac"??? You are talking about the same Pac who has never had a decisive victory over Marquez and was viciously knocked out by Juan in their last outing...The same Pac who dropped a decision to Bradley (albeit controversial) but won the rematch although it wasn't anywhere close to a trashing. Everybody wants to talk about Floyd's perceived weaknesses. Well, the blueprint for defeating Pacquiao was established long ago...he doesn't do well against fighters who can actually box and counter-punch ala Marquez. Say what you want about Mayweather but he's the best PURE boxer the sport has seen in over a decade. Pac couldn't come close to running thru Marquez but folks say he'll knock out Floyd who's an even better tactician in the ring than Juan Manuel (IMO). This fight was somewhat competitive (vs Maidana) but what folks aren't pointing out are the numbers. This dude threw over 850 punches and only landed around 220...Whats that a little over 20%??? What can possibly be good about only landing roughly 20% of your total punches on a fighter who's pretty much right in front of you the entire time? He never had Floyd in trouble at any pt during the fight. He simply did what he always does and frankly the only tactic he could employ was to turn it into an ugly contest b/c he damn sure wasn't going to outbox Mayweather. He was aggressive (even dirty) and tried to rough Mayweather up as much as he could. Props to Maidana for a game effort but a rematch is only going to produce the same outcome or Floyd is going to opt to stick 'n move more instead of staying on the ropes or in the pocket...Either way a L is a L.

For the life of me, I don't get why people always bring up the Pac KO when talking about Floyd. Are you implying that Floyd could KO Pac, too? Just as Pac is a different puncher than Maidana, Marquez is a different counter puncher than Floyd. Marquez is willing to take shots just to connect that counter punches. In fact, if you look at that punch more closely, it is in fact a careless punch because he carried all his weight on that punch. If he missed, he couldve been the one lying in the canvass. A true pure boxer like Mayweather would not take that chance. Even on counters, he always has his guard up... I agree that Mayweather could win but not because of the style that Marquez employed.

Most of Mayweather's opponent was so concious about those counters that they second guess their punches. Maidana did not. He didnt care about the counters. He knew he can take Mayweather's punches. If he didn't get tired after 6, he couldve won.

There is no doubt Floyd is not the same fighter but a guy who weighs almost 20lbs more than you roughing you up is going to make your game a lil off.
