Until this past weekend, I thought Khan was delusional about a Mayweather bout. Now, after beating Collazo down, I think he's a formidable foe. GBP is loaded at 140-147!

you are correct Khan does need 2 more fights but he doe'snt have the time Mayweather fights in Sept/May/Sept then retires. Khan does not fight in Sept because of Ramadan so that leaves May 2015 a year down the road- his planning to fight in November so theres not enough time between November and May but will Khan take another in Feb I doubt it- he may land upmissing Floyd altogether his long lay off last year may come back to haunt him. Then we will here the Khan fans moaning how Myaweather ducked him so if Khan really wants this he may have to sacrifice Ramadan next year provided he doesn't lose.

I understand why floyd went into retirement after Margarito beat Cotto...

Tall, power, great chin, aggressive....that version would have beaten Mayweather back then...

People talk about Maidana fighting Mayweather dirty; Khan fought Collazo dirty! Yes, he showed some dazzling boxing skill, but he grabbed Collazo in a side headlock many, many times, and otherwise held him throughout the fight. This prevented Collazo from getting off. I guess this is Amir's "improved defence". When Luis did buzz Khan once, he really started to hold. Jay Nady should have put a stop to that crap early in the fight, instead of waiting until the second half to start enforcing the rules. That said, Amir Khan wouldn't survive against Mayweather, because Mayweather counter-punches and boxes, and Khan.... well, it's all about the chin isn't it? Khan might give him a little trouble with his speed, but one well-timed counter-punch knocks him loopy, then Mayweather goes in for the kill.

spot on Buddy - Khan fans are getting carried away as usual they better keep him away from Thurman or Porter, he wouldn't last 3 rounds against them and a stronger ref is needed in his fights as you said to much pushing down of the head which is illegal.

I mean Khan's working 24/7 to get the fight made. If Pac was putting in half of that effort we might have already seen the super fight.

Yes, Floyd is beatable. But the problem is, Khan, you are even more beatable! You talk like his flaws are bigger than yours. Unbelievable.
To me its just about simple economics as in Khan wants a big payday.

Greed is in their blood, Collazo was there for the taking walking forward hands down, chin up, they had done their home work.Sick of hearing how well Khan did and is ready for the Floyd payday. Fight a TOP contender now ....I'll bet he doesn't , this lot really are the Con's!

I'm not tripping too hard on Mayweather, in fact, I'd like to see him get in a real tough match, even tougher than what he had against Maidana. But Margacheato? Once the plaster came out of the gloves, he became an average fighter. Mosely beat him down. Mayweather would have fought him at a catch weight and just outboxed him.
