Why would we need a rematch?

First let me start by saying it would obviously be good from a financial stand point.

With that being said, Last night was as good as it gets for these two guys going head to head imo. Yes there is a (small) chance the outcome could OFFICIALLY change in Maidanas favor but two things are clear:

    - he's not going to walk through Mayweather
    - he's not going to KO Mayweather

I think there is more exciting fights out there to be made, especially for Maidana

    Thoughts?

How do you know? What if Maidana is more prepared because he knows what to expect? What if Mayweather had too big a pound of flesh taken last night?

I don't want to see a rematch myself.

Maidana like I expected gave a tough fight but ultimately he lost the fight.

The rematch makes sense financially though and considering they are low on opponents it makes sense to do the rematch.

Maidana will give Floyd problems again though I do think he'd win a rematch abit more comfortably.

It was an exciting fight. Name a single better realistic option that is available for September? Maidana bringing heat was the best thing that could happen for himself, Floyd, GBP and the fans. It makes for a September fight that we can look forward to.

Rematches are always about who makes the better adjustments. Floyd is acting like he could have "boxed, moved, clinched" and stunk it out for an easy UD but I'm not so sure that's the case.

I know Floyd said no Tony Weeks in the rematch but I think its important that they do have a referee that lets them fight.

Because of the gloves. If you box a boxing glove makes a lot of difference. There are boxing gloves that I would never wear sparring or fighting because they are uncomfortable and just don't feel right on your hand. Chino could not use his favourite type and I bet that made a difference.

I enjoyed while I watched it, and now it's in passing. Anything short of knockin Floyd out then Maidana will lose on the cards 10 out of 10 times.

You can tell how the fight went that the rematch would go the same way, imo.

I know it would be another decent scrap but tbh, it was only a great fight by Floyd fight standards.

There was a lot of clinching.
