I was sure that Floyd was going to win the fight, and I am even sure that Floyd can defeat Maidana even with his usual puncher gloves. But that ****ty movement with the gloves, and banning the gloves approved by the commission is shameful and the worst thing that I have seen in years, and for me it proves that Floyd is a big coward.

This was a custom-made glove, and that's hard to trust.

It was custom made by Everlast, not some random dude on the street. And the only that was custom was the paint job. Otherwise it was a standard MX glove.

What I will say is that it seems from numerous reports like the Nevada state athletic commission also did not approve of the glove choices saying that redistribution of weight gave too much padding to the wrists and not enough on the knuckles. This was a custom-made glove, and that's hard to trust. This issue should have been sussed out days if not weeks before the fight, but safety is first and apparently Mayweather wasn't the only one who had a problem with the padding on the gloves***8212;the commission took issue as well.

it's one thing to try to maximize your chances of winning within the confines of the rules, it's another thing to cheat. Maidana had gloves that met the weight requirement so they were legal. Margarito had plaster of paris in the gauze of his glove that would have hardened into a cast with the accumulation of sweat as the fight progressed. Not only is that illegal in terms of fair play, that's borderline criminal. Maidana was looking for an advantage within the confines of the rules, Margarito was trying to get away with cheating.

if u read my comments i said midana and his team were wrong for the blue pair of gloves and floyd was wrong for tripping on any gloves which were approved it is to my knowledge that the blue ones were not approved, so the fact that gloves which were not approved were presented should be brought up as well as floyd and his team being biyyytches about the others
