I do'nt know, I don't think Mayweather would've wanted to face Williams, but if he had, I think he'd have even more success countering Wiliams than Quintana had.
Wrong. Quintana was a southpaw too. Just like Martinez is. Not a coincidence those are his only two losses. Paul, a tall rangy southpaw with shots coming from everywhere at a high rate, with an 84 inch reach spells doom for Floyd.

Margarito wasn't nearly as awkward as Maidana, and Floyd would have been much much much better in 2005-2006, he was in his prime then.

It's hard to know what really was Margartio.

          Before the plaster or after?

Margarito is WAY slower than Maidana even, and plus Floyd would have been prime, so there is not comparison.

And Floyd NEVER stood flatfooted before 2010. So if you think Floyd wouldn't have been running around the ring like he did against Ricky Hatton style, then you are crazy

Paul Williams was a tall fighter with a pretty worthless jab...who wasted much of his reach.

He was tall, but he lacked great technique...and his volume punching could be decreased by countering.

Ain't no shame. 18-1 underdog. Let's put that into perspective.
But you fail to realize Maidens lost.

Well, for some odd reason, he won 41 times and his only two losses came at the hands of other southpaws, which Floyd is not. Boxing is not always about technique, but the will of the fighter to make his style overcome his opponent.

Have you ever watched that fight? It was one if the best welterweight match-ups of the past decade and razor close. Paul started brilliantly and Margarito came on a like a train in the second half of the fight. No one dominated.
