Most impressive fighter last night was Probably J'Leon Love recovering from almost getting stopped (probably should have been stopped) to outbox Periban and Maidana for his Effort

Broner actually did not look bad when he actually pushed forward and fought INSIDE instead of trying to fight off of his back foot

Khan wasn't impressive against a dangerous Collazo, but Love almost got stopped by a bum was impressive and broner who looked like dogshit wasn't too bad?

Terrible post. Can't say I'm surprised though. Bias poster for certain fighters.

*** Off! Khan looks good early for maybe the first 4 Rounds but he get very sloppy with the holding and started doing a lot of 1,2 Headlock Combos. He could have stole the night had it not been for the awkward grabbing and holding. Clinching is ONE THING, Khan was purposely reaching out to hold Collazo head Down
      "he got very sloppy"

collazo landed about 4 clean punches in the the entire fight

you know this is boxing? boxers are allowed to get hit

fact is khan took very VERY VERYYYYYYYY little punishment last night, only time he was caught this less was against zab...

collazo was a tricky southpaw, so i can see why khan was grabbin on more than normal, it's not easy fighting that style of guy.

fact is khan outboxed him, easily and put him down 3 times

what did bum ass broner do? got tagged for 12 rounds non stop by a midget khan stopped and put into temporary retirement 2 years ago

Diaz scored a flash knockout against khan, he did not seem hurt at all in that fight. i am hoping you watched the same fight i did. Your telling me flash knockouts are uncommon at elite level fighting?

Considering khans claims of having a hard time making weight at 140, such a knockout in a way is self explanatory.

Maidana was knocked out by khan in the first round, arguably khan would have stopped him early if it was not for the bell. Does that mean anything?

I've been reading a few of your posts, You say "knockout", when you actually mean "knockdown", which in that context "knockdown" is the correct term to use.

          Just correcting you M8.

I thought he beat Hatton years ago and I respect him but acting like this was some huge win is ridiculous. Thurman would have sparked him out in 3-4 rounds and been called a bum killer. This is obviously the wrong thread to be objective in. I've seen how you U.K. fellows go all in on your guys..
I've never said it was a huge win.

In fact, before and after the fight I said he should get credit for beating a solid welterweight who's on a good run.

Now, fact is, in my thread about the fight and in the sticky one, nearly half of NSB picked Khan to get knocked out. So how are you going to turn around and say it wasn't a good win?

i watched that fight, in the final rounds diaz rocked him hard, don't deny it. and for the maidana fight, too bad for amir that rounds are only 3 minutes long right? he should have landed that punche earlier. what about round 10? what if there were no joe cortez to save khan? even a limited maidana almost put him out. a much more improved maidana with better conditioning takes him out.

Khan was so disgusting to watch with his constant clinching and shoving. I was delighted to hear that he'll likely miss the next opportunity at Mayweather. Used to like Amir but he's gone back to fighting cheap.

thanks for your concerns and job well done at policing m8.

But to address your concern i do know the difference beetween the two. Lets put it down to human error.

Most of this due to Maidana being a relentless beast but Khan did to Collazo what no other boxer has done before. Made him bow to his superior boxing and NEARLY stopped him. Khan reminded me of a 10 yrs younger Mayweather last night. Khan's fast hands and movement would give Floyd hell at this point in his career and possibly decision him. His chin held up well against a true welterweight in Collazo. I really don't think Floyds promoter will let Floyd fight Maidana in Sept. We shall see.
They paid Collazo off. He wasn't even really trying and the ref would have allowed Khan to hit him with a bat without a penalty. The event was supposed to make Khan look good but I don't think he looked good at all. He was wide open for counters, counters that Collazo would normally have thrown but he just stood there as per his agreement with GBP for the payday.

while not as pretty to watch as old khan, its better for his health that he is taking less punishment than ever before

i think he'll improve further come the next fight, he's had 3 fights under hunter now and the changes are slowly coming to roast

they need to sort his stamina out though because after round 5 i cud see some, just SOME old habits creeping in, but thats natural
I still think Khan will start to get ****y and confident again, and in a big fight down the line he will get clocked good and start brawling again. It's just in his blood hes got that warrior spirit. Hes shown so many times where he'll just start throwing ******ed combos while out on his feet. If he does it against somebody like Thurman or Porter it's over.

But who knows maybe he'll just abuse his new found combination of speed, defense, and clinching. He'll be the fast version of klitchko lol.
