All Floyd stans can say is "here are the excuses". Can any of you explain why Maidana did not have on the red MX? Why didn't Floyd want him to wear them?

And talk about fvking excuses. Here's Floyd's explaining the gloves:

"I don't want to be a vegetable"
"These ain't got no fvking padding" (didn't even address the red ones)
"It's to protect BOTH fighters"

Maidana fought great but coming up with these silly excuses is pretty lame. If you're gonna ok the deal and if you're gonna ok the gloves then shut up and don't ***** and whine about it after the fight. If you're not ok with the gloves say no. Plain and simple.

There was also talk at the height of the negotiations that Floyd wanted to choose what gloves Pacquaio was allowed to wear (Grants instead of Reyes). So this is nothing new. It's the last-minute nature and clearly rehearsed responses of Ellerbe & co. that made it seem like Floyd has hit new lows.

I don't usually get into calling out fighters, but this glove issue has absolutely made me boil. I'm not even sure I believe it made that much of a difference in the fight, but it's the principle of the matter and the way that Mayweather's team uses (deliberately or otherwise) misinformation. The nice thing is that there seems to be fairly unanimous sentiment about the fact that this was complete bull*****.
