Floyd is the starter of everything. Maidana had to be a wrestler as Floyd was the wrestler, by clinching and holding.
If Floyd just let Maidana punch there would be no need for Maidana to wrestle. Maidana likes to punch so wrestling is not something hed be familiar with.

In many of those altercations, Floyd did something dirty just prior to Maidana retaliating. Did that happen every time? No but if you look carefully, you will see that Maidana didn't care for Floyd's dirty tactics and let him no by doing his own.

Floyd gets away with much more than other fighters.
