Floyd won rounds 2, 5, 7, 9, 10, 11, 12.

Floyd dug deep like the greats do. Robinson struggled with a "B fighter" in Lamotta, and Ray Robinson is perhaps the GOAT. Floyd is one of the best to lace up a pair of gloves, and Maidana tested him.

Maidana in the end didn't land enough clear and clean punches the 2nd half. Mayweather was really tagging him the last 6-7 rounds, and adjusted on the ropes.

How about all those body shots Floyd landed??? No one is talking about that aside from Al Bernstein.

He's slower then he was 4 years ago sure. Even 3 years ago probably.

At the same time, 8-4 card man....if I need to get with reality on this, you need to get with reality. It was one of those fights where 8-4 Floyd is ridiculous IMO, and 7-5 Maidana is hard pressed too. This was a 7-5 Floyd fight clearly, or maybe 6-6.

Right so you had 7-5 Floyd and you're telling me you couldn't have scored a single other round for Floyd? 7-5 Floyd for you, 7-5 Maidana is hard pressed and 8-4 Floyd is ridiculous? Well in that case show me 5 rounds Maidana dominated.

I don't know how anybody could give floyd the first 6 rounds or the last 2 rounds.

Of the first 6 rounds I thought the 4th round could have gone either way.
I scored it for Chino, because of momentum, work output, and ring generalship.

Had it 7-5 or a draw... Leaning towards a damn draw. Mayweather looked super dispirited in the first half of the fight, he looked like a beaten man. Maidana got a bit tired I feel in the second half of the fight and got his second wind in the 12th. May sc****d and clawed and HELD like a damn conjoined twin in that round.. Haven't decided who won the 12th.. Must rewatch.

i had mayweather by 1 or 2 rounds and im a mayweather fan I do think he won the fight but I can understand if someone had maidana winning but if so they were giving a ton of credit on ropes even tho most were missing. Great fight no doubt i think he had win last 3 or so rounds to win i just think he did

People simply don't know boxing. Simple as that.

There's a lot more to break down than "he's slow" and "he's slow" so the fight will be the same.

It was obvious (to me) and a few others yourself included that Maidana would push Floyd.

Floyd pulled it out but Maidana showed what he can do.

So I wonder, has Maidana improved now?

Go back and watch footage. Lamotta, who deserves all the props he gets, was more or less a slow come forward fighter, who was relentless. Not much difference. He made Robinson struggle.

Lamotta lost tons of fights to low level fighters. He definitely wasn't an A-level guy, not an elite fighter of that era.

Floyd won 5 of the last 6 rounds. I could give him no more than 2 of the first 6, which is what I did give him. Can you really give him 8 rounds???
