They were going crazy over that because Maidana forced Floyd to fight his fight. Pushing him to the ropes and forcing him to cover up for large parts of the round. It wasn't so much the punches, but the ring generalship that Maidana was showing that surprised everyone (not just the commentators). However, they were getting wet over Mayweather missing 5 punches in a row. The replays clearly showed Maidana dodging punches and Showtime was just talking about how Mayweather was landing these clean punches on him when the punches weren't landing. It was weird to say the least.

It wasn't a robbery giving it to Floyd.
It also wouldn't have been a robbery if Maidana was given the decision.
Having said that, if the roles were reversed, and Maidana was p4p#1 and the cash cow, and Mayweather was the challenger, and that exact same fight occurred, we all know Maidana would have got the decision.

Well, we know they'll do the rematch in September and it'll do better numbers. It allows Floyd to see who he'll face in May & September of 2015, but that's if he beats Maidana this time or if he loses, we could see Maidana vs. Mayweather 3.

Mayweather is there for the taking. Nowhere close did he look like a p4p 1 tonight. I had it a draw.

Floyd was clearly landing the clearer shots and Chino threw a lotta wild punches, most of which weren't landing. Floyd had very few moments where he was landing at will like we're used to seeing him do. So if you wanna give Chino all the close rounds based on him forcing the action, being aggressive, and basically outhustling Floyd, fine. But to me, that's not the proper way to score a fight.
