Originally posted by hollisterI think Lewis had insticts and reflexes that Wlad doesn't have where defense and using the ring are concerned, and correct me if I'm wrong but Lewis can take a great shot as long as it's not on the chin. It seems that Wlad can't take a shot all that well high on the head, as that's where almost all of Sanders' shots landed, and Peter landed some great looping right hands that landed in the temple area before that last KD. My two cents.Comment

Originally posted by ChrististheAnswer2I have Lewis's career on DVD and he has taken some good shots from very heavy handed guys, right on the chin. However like you said he is a naturally defensive/cautious fighter unlike Wlad who is a naturally aggresive fighter. This gives Lewis an advantage in taking shots because he can prepare for them, that and I truly believe his chin is just better.
And Lewis won that fight.Comment

I don't think Lewis had a good "chin" for lack of a better word. IMO - what he did was "role with the punches". Lewis was also a master at blocking with his arms and shoulders, and clinching. That's something Wlad has only recently started doing.Last edited by Torino; 02-22-2006, 01:40 AM.Comment
