You don't like it then beat him. They are fighting the wrong battle. Now they are steaming, upset and focused on gloves while Floyd and his dad are at the house making final preparations for the fight.

It's mind games. The mentality of a B-side should be to go along with it and trust in your abilities that you can pull off the victory in baseball gloves and timberland boots if you have to.
but apparently in the contract it said that both fighters are free to use whatever brand of boxing gloves they like. so floyd can't force maidana to use a different pair of gloves.

if floyd wanted maidana to use a different pair of gloves then it should have been made clear before both fighters signed the contract. instead floyd is *****ing and moaning like a princess hours before the fight.

if the fight doesn't happen then it's all on floyd.

How do you know it's Team Maidana getting stressed? Last night when it kicked off, Chino was in his room oblivious to what is going on, while Floyd is right there, getting freaked by glove padding. Maidana really doesn't strike me as the kind of guy who would give a **** about something like this.

And FWIW, I don't think this is mind-games. I think they genuinely got wigged out by the gloves. I think there's every chance that Team Mayweather are more affected than this than Team Maidana, and Floyd more than Chino.

Team Maidana should stand firm on MX or Reyes. As if Floyd is gonna throw away $32 million over such a petty issue. Chino can't speak english so they thought of a way to create some buzz to sell the PPV, at his expense.

That was before they showed up with those empty used looking powder blue gloves. Since there is su****ion the aren't taking any chances.

And besides, this interview is old. He is wearing the Everlast.

Agreed! If mayweather is tbe, he needs to allow maidana to wear the approved gloves....it wont matter any ways cause floyd is still gonna win!!

Maybe maidana beating broner is making mayweather second guess his skills! Idk

Same glove King Cotto has been utilizing since his move to 154lb.

The MX Glove hit as hard as the Reyes, and has the protection of an Everlast!

Horse hair on the knuckle (like Reyes), foam on the wrist (like Grant).

              Best glove!

In all fairness I would be too. Boxing is a dirty business. Your opponent shows up with a bad pair of gloves you have every right to be su****ious.

And Floyd's whining was more for All Access. Watch the FightHype video where he is quiet and then the camera man gives him the go, and then he starts saying "No wonder he was knocking these guys out".

I doubt Mayweather really gives a ****; it is just a measured used to offset Marcos.
