All this talk by Lara only to show up with his cross country shoes on fight night.

Hard to disagree with this. Canelo has always been much more of a counterpuncher, if anything. He is definitely not a pressure fighter. He also has very slow feet, which makes lara much more of a threat to him than your typical slick boxer.

Garcia has never even headlined his own ppv. He has brings zero money to the table and looked awful in his last fight. At least Lara is a legitimate fight. Garcia v. Mayweather is not. If mayweather wanted to fight the best, he should fight either golovkin who says he can make 154 or Martinez, if he can make that weight. Those are too high risk for him given that neither brings a lot of money to the table.

trout was an undefeated young champion who validated that belt by outboxing cotto.. lara on the other hand defeated trout who previously lost the belt to canelo.... if you keep floyd aside from jmw since he fights mostly at welter, then we all know trout and canelo were considered 1 and 2 at the division at the time they unified, that wasnt the case when lara fought trout...
and by the way that wbc title that canelo got from the hatton fight was also a paper title, but canelo was too young then, know he realizes the way things should be...

If Lara wins this, there can no longer be any denying the most viable and worthy adversary for Floyd. There won't be any argument for Pacman, or Bradley, no more show uppers for that check and no-hopers, it'd be Lara or leave. I bet Floyd retires if Lara does win. Or probably he'd require another catchweight and become the (new) catchweight king.
Agreed. Floyd would have to seriously considder Lara if he beats Canelo. Especially if he does so impressively. I don't think Lara will handle him as easily as Floyd did but I do think he will handle him and it wont be very close.

That is the difference to me. That and Nelo does not have the gas take to even be a pressure fighter so he can't wear that mask for this fight. In his mind though, he can outbox Lara. He will try to do so like he tried to outbox Floyd, and he will have some success, enough to keep him attempting but not enough to win against a more masterful boxer than himself.

Not sure bout that one. Don't see Danny and Floyd fighting. Danny will want to keep his 0 and build his own brand and in his right mind he cannot think he stands a legitimate chance at beating Mayweather.

The Trout fight was billed as a unification fight at 154 lbs. It was a good fight and Canelo had 2 belts. The WBA belt was vacated before Trout won it...look it up. After Canelo lost to May, he has zero belts. He doesn't want to pay a fee for a belt that Flotd stills owns. Canelo will be in great shape and whooop Lara's ass.
