This is the most important ppv fight this year and only must get ppv fight. The others pale in comparison.

If Lara wins this, there can no longer be any denying the most viable and worthy adversary for Floyd. There won't be any argument for Pacman, or Bradley, no more show uppers for that check and no-hopers, it'd be Lara or leave. I bet Floyd retires if Lara does win. Or probably he'd require another catchweight and become the (new) catchweight king.

Have to agree. If Lara beats Canelo, there's no denying he should be next up for Floyd.

I know it's just marketing and trash talk, but c'mon...
Canelo can do everything what Angulo can but Alvarez is faster, more accurate and maybe stronger. So if he willing to be a brawler against Lara I see he will win. If he'll try to outbox Lara, he won't.
Angulo is a straight up pressure fighter Canelo is NOT. It was the constant pressure stamina and high workrate that troubled Lara but Lara still hold his own and showed real mental toughness and heart. I believe Lara will outbox Canelo.

He doesn't want to fight for the belt because he doesn't plan on defending it after the fight. Win or lose he plans to move up to 60.

Mayweather knows Lara will beat Canelo and that's why he's been talking about retirement. He knows what time it is.

Yes, Canelo is not a brawler, that's true, but he saw that the agressive pressure fighting could be a succesfull tactic against Lara and he can adjust to that style on the upcoming match. If Canelo can subsume his stamina and time to time rush Lara, he will be the winner (i think). And Canelo maybe not as relentless as Angulo but his offense is way more creative, faster and he punch with better accurace. I don't know if he punches harder than Angulo or not but i think he punches harder or equal hard as Angulo.
First and last: I think that Canelo just need to be agressive against Lara, meanwhile he have to subsume his stamina and he'll win the fight likely by KO/TKO.

Canelo simply doesn't want to pay a sanctioning fee for a make-believe title.

The same make believe title he fought Trout for huh?

He has problem with weight, plain and simple. Or you think he came overweight for the Angulo fight for no reason?

Wrong!!!! Danny Garcia is next...Lara is not box office enough, small fan base. Garcia has it all, the resume, fan base, marketability with his dad at the forefront. Lara will never fight Floyd, nobody will buy it
