Planned stunt or not; It is obvious that the fight with paqiou could not be made because of Mayweather; not because of Top Rank or Team Paqiou.

Floyd Mayweather has to handicap any credible opponent (He screwed Marquez and came in overweight, he screwed Cotto with the gloves, he screwed Canelo with a catchweight and now he wants to take maidanas power away with chosing the gloves)

The Nevada State Athletic Commission is corrupt.

Floyd Mayweather, do us all a favor and leave the sport and let the real men fight. Seriously, PLEASE DO US ALL A FAVOR AND RETIRE.

There is absolutely no issue here except with Floyd's team. The red pair has been approved by the commission. Floyd's team rejects them as well and a pair of Reyes gloves Team Maidana suggested. He's just flat-out rejecting anything that isn't his gloves.

If they came with a dirty pair first, then I'm gonna make sure your wearing a clean pair to. So I understand saying he can't wear the back up pair cause trust is broken at that point.

A lot of posters here are complaining at Floyd for saying the fight might be off ( oddly enough, the same posters who say they won't be watching), but they don't speak about how this is the same camp with the Margarito controversy, and that they tried to sneak one over.

I can see a lot of you are not seeing the big picture. If Maidana's first pair of gloves weren't approve then why should Floyd trust him with his second pair? Commission approved or not. Fact remains that they got busted with an illegal glove which should be more punishment brought down on team Maidana because they should know better. They tried to cheat so Floyd is in the right to make them wear the same gloves he wears. That's the least Maidana should do for the disrespect but most of you posting on here don't care about your health, well being and give two $#!s about yourselves.

First off Maidana will make far more then 1.5 mill., that's just his guaranteed purse. Second, who of the two need the fight and the money more? Certainly not Mayweather. I respect your opinion but that's a horrible assessment of the situation. If I had to "guess" who would fold first, I would use history as a guide and say the smaller guy or "B" side will cave.

As Floyd himself pointed out, this is a MAYWEATHER promotion. His ass and his company's reputation are on the line here, not Maidana's. The stakeholders aren't going to blame Chino, they're going to blame Floyd if this fight falls apart over gloves (which it clearly won't). These are just the same old mind-games from Floyd to try to intimidate his opponent right before he steps in the ring. No way on earth does Floyd walk away from this fight over gloves. I hope Garcia and Maidana call his bluff.
