Floyd Mayweather and Marcos Maidana both easily made weight for their anticipated World welterweight championship showdown Saturday evening at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Photos by Ed Mulholland and Bran Steffy.

The defending champion, Mayweather came in at 146 lb. Maidana hit the scales at 146.5 lb.

The bout - which headlines on Showtime Pay-Per-View (9:00 p.m. ET/6:00 p.m. local time) marks the first ring appearance for both fighters, who enjoyed banner campaigns in 2013. Mayweather was honored by the Boxing Writers Association of America as the 2013 Fighter of the Year, for his convincing wins over Robert Guerrero and Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez. Marcos doesn't look as cut up as I thought he would after the long training camp with Alex Ariza

Chino gonna bring the guns tomorrow night and let them blaze!!! Hope he can pull out the upset. BHop looking like he's a Floyd guy now. Khan looks good at 147 but I think Collazo might do it. I'm running with my homie! Broner back to fighting lil ninjas...... Smh I'll be getting my drink on during the love fight.

I have to say that Maidana's tattoo of a 45 caliber pistol on his left hip is pretty badass but unfortunately for Maidana he can't use that gun.....Floyd by UD.

Never seen Khan ripped like this before. Khan means business and is in terrific shape. I hope I'm wrong but I still think Collazo will knock him out

Floyd is definitely on some ****. At 37 years old, he looks more ripped than Khan and Broner.

Perfect title for the fight, Maidana is a fearless warriror but he truly looked caught up in the moment as did Canelo last year . Maidana has mentioned how hes shy and doesnt care about fame and it showed today IMO. Khan is in tremendous shape, best shape ive seen him in. I know hes delusional and has a questionable chin but im starting to believe this might be the weight class for him.

Mayweather is getting that ass whooped tomorrow night!! Just 24 hours remaining until the beginning of the card and what should be the biggest upset in boxing history. Maidana is not going to play games inside that ring, Mayweather is not seeing past the 7th round.
