Comments Thread For: Thurman: If I Was Mayweather, I Would Fight Me in '14

LAS VEGAS --- Manager Al Haymon is a powerful man in boxing.

He represents Floyd Mayweather, Marcos Maidana, Amir Khan, Adrien Broner, Danny Garcia, Lucas Matthysse and Keith Thurman just to name a few. Where does Thurman fit into the mix?

"For the most part I say Al Haymon is doing a good job juggling around all of his fighters and positioning his fighters in competitive fights," Thurman said. "But my big question really is where do I fit in? Because I didn't fit in to the major leagues this time, this go around. But you can't count me out, man. It's time to put in the work. I put in the work. I made that hard work look like easy work and I plan on continuing to do that, man. I'm not threatened by any man in the welterweight division, and that includes our king Floyd "Money" Mayweather."

Thurman deserves a fight with Floyd. He can't beat Floyd.

Keith Thurman was wrong on his MMA assessment however I understand he needs a selling point and mainstream believe MMA actually pit the best against the best. Jon Jones has a mismatch last weekend when he should rematch the guy that was outboxing him. Also this mismatch of Jones was catching him with some ****.

Not quite...you cant beat a couple of limes, beat a world champ and expect to fight mayweather!! You're just a thurman fanboy which is cool.

I'm really becoming a big fan of this kid. Forget the Mayweather stuff everything else is just so endearing (and I don't think he's bull****ting us). Love fighters with this kind of competitive spirit, it shines through in their work.

The stuff he keeps repeating about not being scared to lose his "0" is interesting too. Looks like he is taking pressure off himself.
