Rewatched: Danny Garcia v Lucas Matthysse

Garcia won that fight. I think Lucas wins a rematch if it ever occurs. Garcia was a bit lucky to have LM's eye close in that fight. You can see how LM was gaining momentum prior to the eye closing. Looking at both of their last outings, I STILL think that LM is made of something Danny isn't. Garcia couldn't adjust in his last fight and got his ass kicked where LM started out a bit slow BUT got pissed off and adjusted; then he proceeded to beat Molina DOWN. LM is built to take punishment and is cut from a different cloth. They asked him after the fight how did he pull it out, he simply replied, "I had to fight with my balls."

If it occurred due to some obvious foul or so yeah but Danny Garcia landed beautiful left hooks all night, in the first half of the fight he wasn't active enough, when his activity rose, so did his connect percentage, thus, resulting in more left hooks colliding into Matthysses head.

Garcia played this perfectly I think.

The injury didn't come from a left hook tho, it came from a scraping right hand thrown with limited force (i.e. a freak injury).

Good post. I agree with it BUT that was that night. Based on what I've seen as of late, LM not only wins the rematch, he wins via TKO/KO. I think Molina beats him as well.

Lucas lost! Eye got injured, ok, guess what??? idc! This is boxing. Cotto fought clottey with one eye for 9 rds. Nobody gave a ****!! Lucas is my guy too but if they wanna do a rematch it's cool, if it don't get done its cool too. Herrera though can ***** if he don't get one cuz he has a right to.

Who cried robbery? Most Matthysse fans gave Danny props from what i remember, the only complaints were for the low blows.

It doesn't matter what happens in Their last fight. Lm don't fight like Herrera and DSG don't fight like Molina. and when Lucas and Danny fought, Lucas lost. I son understand ya here when it comes to danny.

They had no choice! Lucas was suppose to kill him in 4rds, destroy him, murder him, angel was suppose to have to get in The ring and drag Danny's body out of it. That's all I heard. After the fight, all I heard was we want a rematch, we win the rematch. Went from only needing 4 rds to ko him to needing 12+ rds to try and beat Danny.

It wasn't from a left hook, it was from some weird swatting/pushing **** Danny did with his right hand
