Which heavyweight challenger was worse?

I really am sick of these fights for Wlad. It's ridiculous.

Mormeck, Wach, Pineta, Lepai all in a short space of time? It's ridiculous.

None of those are in the Top 10 nor close.

It really is. I know the other so called 'top' contenders are not exactly screaming at the chance of fighting Wlad other than maybe Tyson Fury.

But there's simply no excuse for these 'defences' especially as most of them were voluntary.

God awful.

What's funny is that for the half a round he actually managed to slip the jab and work inside, he had Wlad clinching every ten seconds. Then he just sort of stood still and threw 5 punches a round because he didn't have the energy for anything else. Compubox was 147 to 10 in punches landed, and not only does that not surprise me but I'm wondering when the hell Leapai landed 10 punches.

All the people praising it, come on. Of course Wlad could dance and throw combos against someone doing nothing. It's like praising Floyd Mayweather for beating up on...you know what, I can't even think of an equivalent. I can't say Paulie or John Molina or someone like that because those fighters are all better and more proven than Leapai.

Yeah but that's nothing new when it comes to Wlad. He likes a good hug in a fight.

Did Leapai land 10 punches?? Didn't see a single one landed. Maybe one or two jabs to the chest but that was about it.

He was just so awful it was unreal. To think he got a chance to fight for the richest prize in sports is just beyond me.

The worst was age 40 Audrey Harrison.

Was he though? Olympic gold medalist & European champion at the time. He beat Mike Middleton via first round KO on his debut - incidentally the same guy Pianeta beat just before he fought Klitschko in his 22nd fight.

He was also moved into the top 15 by the WBC.

Not saying he was great, but at least he was by far the bigger man and a household name in the UK.

Sanctioning rankings don't mean much anyway. Pianeta was top ten in the WBA. Leapai was WBO #1.

Oh and old Audrey wasn't ranked when the fight was signed. After it was signed, the WBC conveniently placed her at #15.

Old Audrey is a joke in the UK. She fought like a frightened old woman against Haye.

Audrey never had a single win over a top 25 HW in her entire career, and was easily KOed by Sprott, Price, Wilder etc. She lost to Dominic Guinn and Martin Rogan. I imagine Pianeta and roided-up Wach would beat some of those guys.

Pianeta and Wach were undefeated when they fought Wlad, each has only that one loss to an ATG heavyweight. Neither is likely to be KOed by Michael Sprott.
